Just a few minutes before I checked my phone, I heard someone on the radio say it was "May 19th". May 19th, May 19th...that date sounds so familiar...
This was Todd and I 8 years ago yesterday:

This is us last night after we realized at lunch it was our anniversary and quickly planned a trip to one of our favorite places to eat. (Thanks so much Karla for taking Evan on short notice!!! Sorry about the marker on your hardwood floors...)And this is Todd eight years ago on our honeymoon truly annoyed I interrupted his dining by snapping a picture (Todd claims I was taking pictures at every meal but I don't remember that):
And this is him last night thoroughly annoyed I interrupted his dining to snap a picture:All right, so he's really NOT annoyed. I made him pose that way. Nothing like a posed picture to capture the moment.
And this is Todd using his keys and a twig to disrupt the hiding place of a wasp to sure up a spot I deemed perfect to double as a tripod...the wasp wouldn't budge so I bravely placed the camera over the wasp in his hiding spot. Anything for the perfect picture...
It's been a crazy, fun, life altering events filled 8 years and I am looking forward to the next 8. Especially year #2 of those next 8 as we have decided we must go back to Costa Rica for our 10 year anniversary.

Happy Anniversary! Eight years, and you haven't killed each other yet! That is quite an accomplishment.
Congratulations! 8 years is quite an accomplishment! I hope that 10-yr plan works out (if you want a horror story, I'll tell you how we spent our tenth - definitely not costa rica).
Your pictures look great - the wasp battle was totally worth it!
Congrats and Happy Anniversary. I love Todd's pictures. Steve opts out after one and you don't want to see the look on his face, or his selectively chosen raised finger if I force the issue :)
Congratulations!!! Wishing you many more anniversaries and very few wasps.
Whitni: Thanks! Yes, we feel we've done good venting our anger in name calling instead of using blunt objects. :>
Claudia: Yikes! Sounds like you've got a story - are we going to be able to hear it LIVE this summer, hmmm????
Tristan: Yeah, I totally understand. Before we were married, I think about 90% of Todd's pictures were sans people. I've converted him - especially since we've had Evan!
Corbie: Thanks for the kind wasp-free wishes. Now I just need someone to wish me free of mosquitos - I'm apparently their bread and butter.
You and I really are twins - they love me.
Corbie: I feel your pain. If they just lick me I develop a giant red goose egg.
fun, fun! Happy anniversary!
