Halloween is a blast on my street! We have cute little cobblestone lamp posts that line the street and some of my neighbors decorate them every holiday - for Halloween the lamp posts get ghost faces.

Every Halloween we get at least 300 trick-or-treaters and this year it was so warm I just sat on my porch to hand out the candy. Someone in the neighborhood just moved in from California and asked if the 25 candy bars he bought was "enough for Halloween?" I think he got laughed at. Last year was really the first year we didn't have to run to the store at 7 pm to buy more candy! Why not just turn off your porch light and be done with it you might ask? Mainly because there are a lot of hispanic kids that come and I don't think they understand the porch light thing because they keep knocking and yelling "trick-or-treat!". I don't know how to say "we're out of candy" in spanish so we go buy more candy.
