A project complete. Sort of.

So my sister makes these really cute scrapbook calendars for my mom every year for Christmas and she loves them! This year she went digital and I decided it would be such a great idea if I made one for my mother-in-law for her birthday. Great idea, huh? What mother/grandmother doesn't love having pictures of her family in calendar form with reminders of all their birthdays to boot? It's even better than a coffee mug. Since I haven't had a real deadline since before Evan was born I'm apparently not good at actually finishing things by real deadlines anymore. You see, my mother-in-law's birthday was December 4th - as in almost one month ago. After December 4th came and passed without any sign of a finished scrapbook calendar I quickly moved my deadline to the following week reasoning that would be better anyway since then I could give it to her in person as we were already planning to go to Salt Lake. Well, I've since reset my deadline another half a dozen times and have reasoned to myself that since no one puts up their calendars on the first day of the year anyway (that couldn't be just me but I didn't want to take a poll on my blog just in case) I'd certainly be timely giving her the calendar on the second day of the year. I am currently at my sister's house using her printer to finish my birthday project since one of the many pitfalls in the whole ordeal has been that my printer sucks at printing calendar quality prints - who knew? And barring a massive strike at all the office supply/copy stores tomorrow I will be binding it and presenting it thusly. Below is a sampling of the calendar. If you too would like a beautiful calendar to present to your loved ones just send me some pictures and I'll get it to you by my next deadline.

Too cute! My mom's birthday is in May. Maybe we could make a calendar for her from May 2009-May 2010. That gives us 5 months. What do you think?

Very cute! Lucky for me, my kids birthdays are all the same week so grandparents have a hard time forgetting...cuz I'd never (ever) get around to the calendar making. Nice work!

Tristan - May seems realistically far away so sure! :> I can e-mail you my entire calendar and if you like any of the templates we can just dump your pictures in there or we can make new ones - it's fun. The first thing I do is find pictures to use for each month then put them in separate electronic folders for each month. It makes it easier when you have already decided what pics to use.

Corbie - Thanks! Wow how lucky for you your kids have birthdays the same week. Wait, 3 birthday parties in one week - yikes! But if anyone has the energy and excitement for 3 kids birthday parties in one week it's definitely you! :>
